A letter to all candidates - Libra Essay Prize 2024

Dear candidate,

Thank you for taking part in this year’s edition of our annual essay writing competition. We are delighted to see so many entries from around the world diving into such fascinating topics. We hope that this experience has inspired and enriched you, regardless of the outcome.

We are in the final stage of deciding who the winners of 2024 will be, which is, quite frankly, the hardest part. Some of these pieces of writing are outstanding, not only because of the technical quality of the language, the structure and the organisation patterns used, but also because of the ideas exposed in them. It is always a pleasure to read such thought-provoking arguments from anyone, particularly when they come from young students like yourself. Please remember that competition is fierce and we, as judges, must focus on even the smallest details. So, if you don’t win this time, do not stop questioning, researching and writing. This is just another stepping stone.

The winners will be announced this Friday 31st May on our website and social media. Well done for taking the initiative and working so hard on something you feel passionate about.
