How to take an A Level in one year
A Level courses normally take two years to study.
Most exam boards will advise you that 360 hours of guided learning is needed in order to complete an A Level. That’s 180 hours each year and around 5 hours per week. Whilst this doesn’t sound like the most intense timetable, it’s worth noting that strong students will do 5 A Levels whilst means 5 hours each day of contact time. This doesn’t include self-study and homework.
But, with education pressure mounting up and the need to succeed driving students forward, many students are starting to attempt the A Levels in 1 year. This lets them get ahead, or even take more qualifications the following year. For many, this will be very difficult but some will manage to do it… and this is how…
1-2-1
You can significantly reduce the contact time needed if you increase the amount of students in the room. Ideally you could reduce it to 1! Our Libra Education students learn up to 40% faster in a 1-2-1 environment compared to when they are in group classes. Just think, that means you can do the A Level to the same standard in just 215 hours – easily doable in 1 year.
Additional Qualification
Another possibility is that you are studying other qualifications at the same time. Maybe you’re doing the Gaokao or your APs in America. If that’s the case, you probably have lots of skills already that are needed to take these tests.
