Libra Education Wins "Best Overseas Student Education Consultancy 2021"

Last week at the SME News 5th Annual UK Enterprise Awards Libra Education was awarded the title of the “Best Overseas Student Education Consultancy 2021”. After strong competition and much deliberating SME News judges awarded Libra Education the title based on the levels of innovation, student service and commercial growth over the past 12 months.

Heading into 2021 Libra was in a strong position. Having recruited record breaking numbers for their Summer School at the University of Cambridge they knew from past experience many of these students would go on to use our counselling services and spend many happy years with their tutors. Instead, the pandemic hit and overnight stripped Libra of their residential services and the opportunity to meet many talented and ambitious students with it.

In the face of adversity Libra Education recruited an operational director and marketing lead to focus on their student counselling and online tutoring services. They built their WeChat presence and agent base in Russia, China and the Middle East by using innovative approaches to tuition in their packages. The tuition ensured that student outcomes outperformed expectations, leading the market in percentage success rates.

The success, in terms of student outcomes, is built on fortnightly mentoring sessions with subject experts as Libra Education believes it is only this regular and sustained student contact time that deliver positive outcomes. These subject experts deliver the learning bursts that encourage students out of their comfort zone. They are supported by education consultants who act as day to date mentors for the students.
