FAQS

What does Online School mean?

This is the answer to the main obstacles in education today: the best quality tuition there is, tailored to suit the needs of every child, in a stress-free environment and capable of accommodating each family’s needs. It’s simple: a student receives all the necessary lessons according to the National UK Curriculum via online lessons on a one-to-one basis.

Why Libra Online School?

We’ve got the best teachers, all of whom are trained at top UK universities, teamed up with our specialist Education Consultants to deliver lessons that follow the UK National Curriculum. This means that our students receive tailor-made tuition that focuses on each individual’s needs and fosters self-development in a way average schools cannot offer. To that, we add the all-important flexible schedule that ensures children have the time to explore their other passions.

Is this education valid?

As a fully accredited British school, students may go back to in-person schooling at any time if desired. The syllabus, teachers, exams and materials follow all legal regulations and are subject to constant quality-assurance monitoring.

What control will I have over my children’s education?

As we follow the UK National Curriculum, there are several core compulsory subjects any child must study such as English, Maths, Science, Computing, History, etc. However, we also go beyond the regular offer, and we are happy to schedule lessons for any subjects parents or their children would like to study: Art, Music, Languages, Economics are all currently studied within the Libra Online School. Parents are also free to change tutors at any point, modify class timetables and holidays to fit their needs. Class and attendance reports are available 24/7 to all students, parents, teachers and supervisors through our online platform so as to better track progress.

Will I have to organise all by myself?

No, an experienced Education Consultant is in charge of administration, quality control, schedules, monthly meetings, communications and liaising with teachers. They can be contacted at any point during office hours regarding questions, concerns or creative ideas.

Are the lessons delivered to groups?

Normally, lessons are delivered on a 1-2-1 basis to ensure students make progress at their own pace. Teachers can then focus on each individual’s needs and questions, always fostering curiosity and independent work. However, we are also able to arrange group classes upon request.

How are payments processed?

Invoices detailing the amount of hours of tuition each child receives are generated and sent monthly. These should be paid in advance via bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Yes, lessons are not refundable when cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice. In cases of absence due to sickness or unavailability of the tutor, make-up sessions may be arranged so as to ensure students receive the required amount of tuition each month.

Why is the Libra Online School better than traditional schools?

The Libra Online School is the best option for many students because we focus on each particular student’s needs, ambitions, weaknesses and strengths. Our highly qualified teachers are able to deliver personalised tuition and assess progress more effectively than in a crowded environment. Leaners have consistently demonstrated better ability, more commitment and greater progress than their peers taking part in regular classroom lessons. This means that, thanks to their high scores in exams, they will be more likely to be successful in their university applications, particularly if aimed at top UK institutions. 95% of our students go on to study at the G5 and we hold a 60% success rate at Oxbridge.

Why UK education?

The UK has scooped the first spot in “The 2019 Best Countries for Education”, maintaining its rank from the year before, according to a study by US News & World Report. This is because children develop more independence through critical thinking skills. We encourage them to study on their own initiative, ask questions and make essential connections between subjects and topics.
