Essay Prizes for Maths
THE NATIONAL CIPHER CHALLENGE
A nationwide, online codebreaking competition aimed at sixth form students of mathematics and computer science. Entrants can take part alone or in teams of any size.
SENIOR MATHEMATICAL CHALLENGE
For students in Year 13 or below, this competition is aimed at schools and colleges based in the UK. All entries must be made by recognised institutions, not individual students or their parents.
BRITISH SOCIETY FOR HISTORY OF MATHEMATICS - ESSAY
Secondary school students are invited to explore a question in an article (maximum 1500 words), a short video (maximum ten minutes) or a multi-media project (maximum ten minutes).
SINGAPORE MATHEMATICAL SOCIETY ESSAY
Exploring a different theme every year, each essay can be written by individual or a team of no more than 3 members from the same school. The length of the essay should be about 1000 words. There is a registration fee of $5 per entry.
MATHSBOMBE
Aimed at students up to Year 13, the competition requires a team of at most 4 members. Every two weeks a new puzzle set is released. Each puzzle set contains two mathematical puzzles to solve. Points can be earned by solving each puzzle and submitting your answer.
