University of Cambridge - History of Art

Having been rejected previously the student came to us looking for guidance on how to reapply successfully and secure a place to read History of Art.

We advised her to take a year our and study a foundation art course. At the same time we supported her with several pieces of project work which she could discuss at interview. This included attending lectures and reading new literature so she was up to date with current affairs in the Art History world.

 

University of Cambridge - Economics

Aiming to study Economics at the University of Cambridge, this student faced a tough challenge. Not only did she need to achieve the required grades, she also needed to make herself stand out in her personal statement against many other strong candidates.

We provided her with the demonstrable experience to secure an interview. At the interview, the student used techniques taught to her during the bespoke interview coaching to gain a place.

 

University of Cambridge - Geography

As an overseas applicant the student was particularly worried about the interview process. We explained that the interviews can be managed if you prepare a strong personal statement and focus on the detail of the topics you have mentioned.

We used video analysis to show the student where they could improve their technique and how they could alter their responses to appeal to a UK professor.

 

University of Cambridge - Law

After moving to the UK the student had worked hard to secure top A Level grades and set themself on the right course to be invited for an interview. When the student came to us they needed help to develop the academic evidence of their interest in Law. This is essential for both the Personal Statement as well as the Interview.

We focused on building this experience alongside preparation for the written tests.

 

University of Cambridge - Natural Science

This was an excellent student who had already secured an invitation to interview but was nervous about what would be asked and how they should answer. We set the student up with our Oxbridge Sciences admissions expert who used our bank of past questions to give the student the necessary confidence to go on and do well.

 

University of Oxford - Chemistry

Our advice is a start to end product. We advised the student to apply for Chemistry following on from our free assessment identify the strengths and weaknesses that the student had.

Following this decision we helped them to develop their problem solving abilities by working through numerous chemistry past questions and problem questions. When it came to the interview we accompanied the student and made sure the day went smoothly and successfully.

 

University of Oxford - Fine Art

Art applications are significantly different to other academic applications to Oxbridge. The student wanted to know how they could prepare their portfolio to show off the diverse skills.

We worked with the family to create a strong portfolio that was supported by a good personal statement. The explanation of the pieces is often an important part of a successful application.

 

London School of Economics and Political Science - Geography

The student’s goal was to study Geography at LSE; he was unsure of how to begin his application or prepare any of the required documents. Having supported multiple students to apply successfully to prestigious G5 universities, we knew the strict success criteria they have for students.

We devised a schedule of application mentoring and tuition to develop his interview skills, polish his personal statement and keep his application on track by highlighting key application deadlines and supporting him to develop his academic record through essay prizes and reading.

 

University of Oxford - Politics, Philosophy and Economics

The student’s goal was to attain a place studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University. With the support of a bespoke learning plan and a dedicated team of tutors, they consolidated their subject knowledge, crafted a unique personal statement and honed their interview skills. The student achieved a place at Oxford University and is currently in their 2nd year of study.

 

University College London - Architecture

The student’s goal was to attain a place at UCL to study Architecture. To do so, she created a first class portfolio of work for submission to the university. Our connections allowed her to work in the UCL Architecture studios with a faculty member, thereby receiving excellent guidance throughout the process.

After working with the student for a year, she had developed her knowledge of Biomimicry and produced several projects that she used as part of her successful application.

 

University of Edinburgh - History of Art

Although this student was hard-working and dedicated, they were unfamiliar with how UK university applications should be prepared and submitted. We were pleased to support this student through multiple avenues such as mentoring, subject tuition, personal statement drafting and interview preparation, just to name a few. The student succeeded in receiving offers to study History of Art at York University as well as her intended university: the university of Edinburgh.

 

University of Cambridge - Mathematics

Through a combination of interview coaching, personal statement drafting, application support and Mathematics mentoring with one of our subject-specialist staff, this student was able to make a first-rate application to study Mathematics at the university of her dreams: the university of Cambridge. Her hard work and our detailed knowledge of university admissions meant that she was prepared ahead of time for every entry requirement that she needed to fulfil to gain admittance to one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

 

Imperial College London - Chemistry

An enthusiastic student determined to study Chemistry at a prestigious London university, the main challenge this student faced was presenting himself confidently at interview and in his personal statement. A self-effacing young man, he struggled to talk about his achievements and strengths independently from the support received from family and school.

Over a period of time, we worked with him to demonstrate how students write personal statements and portray themselves with confidence at interview using our exemplar material. Our breakthrough moment came during one of our study programs when he finally felt he could own his achievements and speak confidently of his experiences. From A level tuition through to putting the final touches to his application documents, we were proud to have supported his academic journey every step of the way.

 

UCL International Pre-Master’s Course

This student is a bright young lady, her goal is to study a competitive masters programme at UCL. In order to improve her prospects, we crafted her application for the International Pre-Masters Course at UCL. This is a great way for international students to improve their skills and build connections with the university before making a successful application for their desired masters programme the following year.

 

University College London - Project Management

This student had previously applied to study a postgraduate course in a number of universities, however, all her applications were unsuccessful.  She almost lost hope but then she decided to speak to us and it was the best decision. With our dedicated support and guidance, the student improved fast and as a result, was able to produce a high-quality personal statement and prepare her documents for the application. We helped the students to submit new applications and this time it was a success. Now the student has a choice for four offers from top UK universities including UCL and KCL. 

 

University of St. Andrews - History of Art

After working with us for over 2 years preparing for university applications and final A level examinations, this student secured a conditional offer to study History of Art at the University of St. Andrews.

University of Bristol - Computer Science and Electronics

This student was initially unsure of their ability to make a high-quality application to study computer science at a top university in the UK. Through our support and encouragement, the student was guided to make a successful application and they recieved a conditional offer to study computer Science and electronics at the University of Bristol.

University of Edinburgh - Clinical Psychology

This student had already completed their undergraduate degree and was wary about undertaking a postgraduate degree as they were unsure if they had the academic ability to pursue further learning.

Through our support, they developed their academic understanding in 1-1 tutorials with a psychology specialist tutor and developed a research proposal for what they wished to pursue further in their postgraduate degree. Following interview coaching and a successful application and admissions assessment, the student received an offer to study Clinical Psychology at the University of Edinburgh.

 

University of Manchester - Architecture

This student’s goal was to study architecture at a prestigious UK university. Although an able student with a great passion for their subjects, they were uncertain how to navigate the extra requirements of an application to study architecture at university.

We provided high-quality tuition and guidance to develop their drawing skills for their portfolio and coaching to polish their interview performance. Our consultants worked with the student on a daily basis to prepare an excellent application and ensure their questions were answered and needs were met. With our guidance, this student achieved several of their university offers, including an offer at the prestigious University of Manchester.

 

University of Edinburgh - Architecture

This student wanted to study architecture at the prestigious University of Edinburgh. Although she was able to tackle tough interview questions at interview, she lacked the knowledge base to support her arguments with evidence.

Alongside consultancy support, we provided coaching with an architecture mentor to develop their knowledge base, testing their application of evidence in interview questions to develop their performance. With our guidance, this student succeeded in several of their university applications to study architecture, including an offer at the prestigious University of Edinburgh.

 

Royal Holloway, University of London - English

Determined to study English at a prestigious university in London, this student had good grades and an enthusiastic attitude but lacked the polish and self-confidence to put forward an application that accurately reflected her prime candidacy.

We provided application mentoring and support with her personal statement from our dedicated team of consultants. Through our support, the student was able to develop an application that portrayed her positively and effectively.

 

University of Exeter- English

This student was confident and able to portray themselves well but was unfamiliar with the kind of content required for an excellent personal statement; we supported them with identifying their key academic achievements and developing their further reading to demonstrate their interest in English.

With regular consultant support regarding the personal statement as well as mentoring with an English specialist to analyse and discuss key pieces of further reading, this student was able to put forward a stellar application and received an offer to study English at the University of Exeter.

 

King’s College London - Politics

This student’s goal was to study Political Science at a prestigious UK university. They are very passionate about politics and very active in their local community, however, they needed to develop their confidence in discussing political issues in English as well as support for a successful personal statement.

We matched the student with one of our political science tutors for weekly discussions on issues surrounding political science. This built the student’s confidence, allowing them to present themselves effectively and portray their potential, resulting in an offer from King’s College London.

 

University of Oxford - Psychology, Philosophy & Linguistics

This student’s goal was to attain a place studying Psychology, Philosophy & Linguistics at the University of Oxford. With the support of a specialist Oxbridge graduate Psychology tutor and a specialist Oxbridge graduate Philosophy tutor, they consolidated and expanded their knowledge for both subjects and honed their interview skills. This student achieved their dream place at the University of Oxford and is now preparing for their 1st year of study from October 2021.
