International Talent: Individualism of the US student at Harvard

To support talented young people with an interest in learning about life studying abroad, we are hosting a series of 10 talks each discussing a different aspect of studying or working in the UK or US. Students should be prepared to learn and engage in each talk with content designed to give hints, tips, and expert advice on how to make studying in the UK or US a reality.

According to Libra Education Head of US Admissions, Sophia Ohler, it’s not just getting all the right numbers on tests and in school – although this matters too – universities like Harvard seek creative leaders who show individual passion. Former classmates include the inventor of nature rap and the CEO of a repurposed thrift clothing initiative. The US college application reflects this as the personal statement is weighted very strongly alonside extra-curricular activities.

Sign up to our talk today to learn about:

  • What ‘individualism’ looks like at Harvard.

  • How to make an excellent US college application.

  • How to develop your own creative leadership.
